THURSDAY 23rd APRIL 2025

Join us on a day trip to the medieval town of Shrewsbury, tucked in a loop of the River Severn near the Welsh border, with its cobbled streets and Tudor centre and quirky independent shops and birthplace of ‘The father of Evolution’ Charles Darwin in 1809 at Mount House.

The town is a wonderful mix of old architecture, black and white timber framed buildings that sit alongside modern shops and restaurants.  Whether you enjoy a browse around Shrewsbury’s many crooked alleyways exploring the shops, a visit to the Museum and Gallery or a stroll along the tranquil riverside, this town is well worth a visit.
