It’s snowdrop season in the Lambourn Valley, one of the most prolific growing areas for this beautiful little flower, symbolising hope and the promise of spring to come.
Join us on a day trip to see the marvellous sights of the snowdrop carpet at Welford Park (former home of the ‘Great British Bake Off’) around the beech wood and along the river. With a collection of over 150 cultivars collected over 20 years it is worth spending a little time to spot the differences.
So wrap up warm and wear your sturdy footwear and enjoy a lovely walk around the beautiful woodland gardens before browsing around the gift shop and stopping for refreshments in the marquee serving hot drinks, homemade cakes, homemade soup and a selection of light lunches (not included). There is also a shepherds hut on the front lawn serving hot drinks.
